Court Booking Rules

  • Members can book courts 14 days prior from 6.30 am. In other words, members can only book from 6.30 am on the day when booking to play 14 days in advance -- all other playing times within 14 days can be booked 24/7.
  • Members should select their playing partner / opponent's name to show on the booking sheets.
  • Booking Fees and Member Accounts
    • Court hire costs £4.50 per 40 minutes (including lights)
    • Each Member has an account within the booking system and must have credit in order to book a court
      • You can purchase credit (£5 minimum) with any credit/debit card when logged into the Booking System Website.
      • Your transaction will be processed by Stripe.
    • Members can share booking fees by using the facility to Transfer Credit when logged into the court booking system website. On the day playing, each member will receive a Booking Reminder email message which, for the "playing partner(s) / opponent(s)", contains a link to facilitate sharing the cost of the booking fee paid by the member who booked the court.
  • Late-Cancellation Policy
    • When unable to use a reserved court, members should cancel as soon as possible so that others may use the court.
    • There is no late-cancellation charge when the booking is cancelled more than 24 hours prior to start time, the system automatically refunds the booking fee as system credit.
    • There's no refund when cancelled within 24 hours prior to start time, however, the late-cancellation charge is automatically refunded if the same time-slot is rebooked.
  • Automatic Light Controls
    • The court lights will automatically switch on at the reserved court time and will remain on for the duration of the booking.
    • If there's no booking before, the lights will go on 5 minutes before the actual start time and, if there's no booking after, the lights will remain on 5 minutes after the actual end time.
    • If the court is booked consecutively, the lights will remain on continuously.
    • Extra minutes (at £1 per 10 minutes) can be added at the touch screen "kiosk".
      • Please be sure that the time your purchase does not overlap the next reservation, which will take precedence, as charges for extra light-time are non-refundable (the touch screen will warn you if there is already a booking which overlaps the amount of time you want to purchase, but it will not stop you from purchasing overlapping light-time).
      • Members must have credit in their booking system accounts in order to purchase extra light time.
      • Please note you will need to know your PIN in order to use the kiosk to purchase light time.
